Stephen Pincus
Stephen Pincus is a senior partner and executive committee member at Goodmans LLP, where he heads the capital markets practice. He is widely recognised as one of Canada’s leading lawyers and has played a pioneering role in developing the country’s capital markets. The International Financial Law Review selected Stephen as its inaugural Canadian Capital Markets Lawyer of the Year.
Stephen grew up in South Africa, where he was head of Habonim and chair of the Zionist Youth Council. In Canada, he was founding chair of the Canada Africa Chamber of Business. He serves on several boards including the Canadian General Counsel Awards, the Board of Governors of the Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI), and the Jerusalem Intercultural Centre (JICC). He previously chaired the board of Makom, JAFI’s education laboratory, and he currently chairs JICC’s international advisory board.
Stephen is the founding chair of Kaleidoscope, which operates a multi-dimensional Israel education program and a multi-disciplinary periodical covering a wide range of topics of Jewish and international interest.
