Rabbi Ed Elkin
Rabbi Ed Elkin is celebrating his 25th year as spiritual leader of the First Narayever Congregation in downtown Toronto. Rabbi Elkin grew up in Long Beach, Long Island and received his bachelor's degree from Princeton University in 1984. He was ordained as a rabbi by Hebrew Union College in 1990. After serving for six years as a rabbi and teacher in Montreal, Rabbi Elkin took up the post of Executive Director of North Carolina Hillel in Chapel Hill before moving with his wife Linda, and daughters Malka and Tali, to Toronto in the year 2000. He studies regularly with the Hartman Institute in Jerusalem as well as at Yeshivat Hadar in New York. He currently serves as president of the Toronto Board of Rabbis.
