Rabbi Arik Labowitz

Rabbi Arik Labowitz is the rabbi and spiritual leader of Or Shalom Synagogue in Vancouver, BC. Over the past three decades, Arik has worked closely with peace-building leaders and organizations in both Israel and North America—including Hand in Hand, Standing Together, and Sulha—to nurture hope in the possibility of coexistence in the Holy Land. Or Shalom remains one of the few communities in Vancouver that intentionally opens its doors to individuals across the political spectrum. Its diverse membership reflects Rabbi Arik’s deep commitment to a pluralistic, open-minded approach to both Israel and Jewish practice.
