Mark Skapinker
Mark Skapinker has been an entrepreneur and active investor in the Canadian software industry since the 1980’s.
In 1982, Mark immigrated to Canada from South Africa after living in Israel for 5 years. In 1988, Mark co-founded Delrina Corporation, makers of WinFax, one of Canada’s most successful software companies. In 2000, Mark co-founded Brightspark, an early stage, Canadian Venture Capital investment company. For over 25 years, Mark has been Managing Partner at Brightspark. Brightspark has invested in some of Canada’s most successful startups. In 2011, Skapinker co-founded the Upside Foundation of Canada. Upside Foundation provides a unique platform for corporate philanthropy by tech companies. Mark was on the board of Bialik Hebrew Day School in Toronto for almost 20 years and was board president from 1999-2003 and is now on the board again.
