Gene Teeger

I grew up in South Africa, where my Jewish identity was shaped by my education at Herzlia School and formative years at Habonim summer camps, both locally and later in Canada, since immigrating in 1978. For the past 23 years, I've proudly served as a teacher at a Reform Jewish day school in Toronto. As a committed advocate for liberal values and respectful dialogue, I am deeply concerned by the rise of antisemitism and the erosion of space for dissenting voices. My connection to Israel remains strong and personal, and I continue to stand proudly as a Jew committed to justice and tolerance.
