Dr. Barbara Landau

Dr. Barbara Landau, C.M., Ph.D., LL.B., LL.M. is a recipient of the Order of Canada and President of Separation Pathways. A psychologist and lawyer by training, she advocated successfully for family law reforms, was a leader in setting professional standards for family mediators and arbitrators, including introducing mandatory screening for domestic violence. Barbara is an author and taught alternative dispute resolution to family and human rights professionals in Canada and internationally. Separation Pathways is the most gratifying achievement, accomplished with caring family professionals to offer an affordable and less adversarial option for children and adults during a difficult life transition.

Barbara is a tireless advocate for human rights and interfaith cooperation and has participated in numerous peacebuilding initiatives between Palestinian, Muslim, and Jewish communities in Canada and abroad.
